RadiJar is a family app. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, we never sell your data, and we take extra care to protect your children's information in line with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RadiJar ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. It applies to parents, guardians, and the child profiles created within the app.
By using RadiJar, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the app.

We do not collect: precise location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any biometric data.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
- Children under 13 do not register directly. All child profiles are created by a verified parent account.
- We obtain verifiable parental consent before creating any child profile.
- We do not collect more information from children than is necessary to participate in the app.
- Child profiles contain: name (or nickname), chosen avatar, age range, coin/XP balance, streak data, and optional proof photos.
- Parents can view, modify, or delete any child profile at any time from the app settings.
- We do not serve targeted advertising to children or allow third parties to collect data from child profiles for advertising purposes.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without proper consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@radijar.com and we will delete it promptly.
How We Use Your Data
- To operate the app — missions, approvals, coins, streaks, rewards
- To send push notifications for task completions, approvals, and reminders
- To manage your subscription via RevenueCat
- To authenticate your account via Supabase Auth
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only with the service providers required to operate RadiJar:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Data Storage & Security
All app data is stored on Supabase infrastructure using Row Level Security (RLS) policies, meaning each family's data is strictly isolated and inaccessible to other users.
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Authentication tokens are stored securely and expire automatically
- Database access requires authenticated sessions
- No sensitive data is stored in plain text
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
Photo Storage
- Photos are uploaded directly to Supabase Storage with strict RLS policies
- Only the parent account of the same family can view submitted photos
- Photos are stored only as long as the task record exists
- Deleting a child profile or family account deletes all associated photos
- We do not use photos for any purpose other than task verification
Push Notifications
RadiJar uses push notifications to alert parents when a task is submitted, and kids when a task is approved or rejected. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect app functionality.
Push tokens are stored securely in your profile record and are not shared with advertisers.
Data Retention
- Active account data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted child profiles are purged immediately including coin history and photos
- Deleted family accounts are fully purged within 30 days
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely
Your Rights
As a Canadian resident, you have rights under PIPEDA including:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to withdraw consent and request deletion
- The right to know how your information is used
For children's data, these rights are exercised by the parent or guardian who created the account. Contact us at privacy@radijar.com to exercise any of these rights.
Account Deletion
Deletion removes: parent account, all child profiles, all mission history, all coin and XP records, all proof photos, and all redemption records. This action is irreversible.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will notify you via push notification or in-app notice, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of RadiJar after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
